White carbon black is the general name of white powdered X-ray amorphous silicate and silicate products, mainly refers to pre
-cipitated silica, vapor silica, ultra-fine silica gel and gas gel, but also includes powdered synthetic aluminum silicate and
calcium silicate, etc. Silica is a porous substance whose composition can be expressed by SiO2·nH2O, in which nH2O exists in
the form of surface hydroxyl group. Soluble in caustic soda and hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in water, solvents and acids (except
hydrofluoric acid). High temperature resistance, non - combustion, tasteless, no smell, with good electrical insulation.
According to production methods, white carbon black can be divided into precipitation white carbon black and gas phase white carbon
black. Gas phase white carbon black is normally white amorphous flocculent translucent solid colloidal nanoparticles (particle size
less than 100nm), non-toxic, with a huge specific surface area. The gas phase white carbon black is all nano silica, the purity of
the product can reach 99%, the particle size can reach 10~20nm, but the preparation process is complicated and expensive. Precipita
-tion method white carbon black is divided into traditional precipitation method white carbon black and special precipitation method
white carbon black, the former refers to the production of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, CO2 and sodium silicate as the basic raw
materials, the latter refers to the use of high gravity technology, sol-gel method, chemical crystal method, secondary crystallization
method or reverse micelle microemulsion method and other special methods of silica production. The precipitated white carbon black is
mainly used as the reinforcing agent of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, toothpaste friction agent and so on. Vapor-phase white
carbon black is mainly used as a reinforcing agent of silicone rubber, coating and unsaturated resin thickening agent. Superfine silica
gel and air gel are mainly used as coating matting agent, thickening agent and plastic film opening agent.
